What should I do with my home inspection report?

Read it in three tiers. Safety hazards — electrical faults, gas, structural movement — have to be handled before anyone moves in. Major systems — roof, HVAC, plumbing, foundation — are the expensive ones, and the ones worth raising with the seller. Cosmetic findings — cracked tile, peeling paint — can wait. Send the report to Archie on WhatsApp and you can ask him which of your findings fall where, and what each would cost to put right, without reading 40 pages twice.

What does Archie do with the inspection report I send?

He sets up a project at the address you gave, files the PDF in that project's Data Room, and — once you say yes — reads it into a phased fix plan: what to fix now, within six months, within a year and what can wait, each with a rough cost range, plus a link to the full plan you can share. You can keep asking about the report in the same thread, and the file stays a document you own, openable from your dashboard.

Is this a repair quote?

Accepted Answer

No. It is a read of your report plus an estimate: the findings sorted by when they need doing, and what work like that costs in your area, from local cost data — so you know what you are looking at before you call anyone. It is not a bid, a contract or a professional opinion on the property, and it is no substitute for your own inspector, a licensed trade or your own diligence.
